District 24 Family and Community Day: The "We Are" Fair – Celebrating All That We Are in District 24
District 24 is excited to announce its Third Annual Family and Community Day, known as the "We Are" Fair, set for Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell in Forest Park, Queens. This event celebrates the theme Small Actions, Big Impact Equals a Bright Future and highlights everything that makes District 24 a strong, united community.
The "We Are" Fair is dedicated to celebrating all things District 24, bringing together families, schools, and community members to showcase what makes us unique, foster connections and be in community with one another! A major highlight of the day will be student performances throughout the event, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity of students from across the district.
This year, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and connect with the new Superintendent IA of District 24, Anthony Rivera, who will be on hand to engage with community members.
In addition to the performances, attendees can enjoy hands-on experiences like basketball, archery, and sand art, and other make and take activities offering fun and interactive opportunities for all ages to participate, learn, and enjoy. Community members will also have the chance to explore tables representing 40 schools in the district, meet local organizations, and connect with neighbors.
Special recognition will be given to individuals who have worked to strengthen and uplift our district, honoring their contributions to making District 24 a better place for everyone. Each school is creating a sign that represents the theme and highlights the unique spirit of their school community. Families will vote for their favorite signs, recognizing the most impactful displays reflecting our community’s efforts throughout the year. Exciting giveaways, including T-shirts, backpacks, and more, will be available.
With beloved mascots adding to the festivities, this event is a true celebration of who we are in District 24—united, diverse, and committed to creating a bright future for all.
